Our client is a leading renewable energy company. Ithas a track record in environmental markets and is in the process of establishing a dedicated Global Carbon team. Sourcing activities will be further enhanced with a focus on CDM and JI (upstream), expanding its structuring and trading business with respect to all regulated carbon commodities and streamline its business towards compliance companies in the various Emission Trading Schemes (downstream).
Your role:
You are part of the global carbon team, responsible for further developing the customer business. You develop and roll out tailor made customer products, ranging from market access to highly complex long term structured deals. You are responsible for the direct interface with key account customers and for developing the most appropriate channels, internal as well as external, to approach customers Europe wide. You are also responsible for the approach towards the USA. You are managing a small international team. You report directly to the Head of Global Carbon and are actively involved in the overall strategy and business of the global carbon team.
Your profile:
You have a university degree in engineering, economics or mathematics or equivalent
- You have a strong commercial drive with the ability to persuade customers
- You have an in depth understanding of the global carbon market, its products and derivatives, a strong commercial drive to be active in this environment and a strong track record
- You are a team player able to closely cooperate with your colleagues of upstream and midstream
- You have experience in managing an international team of professionals
- You are fluent in English, strong command of another European language is an advantage
- You have the willingness and ability to travel quite extensively
